Every time you perform a review, upon verification with the journal, you will receive an academic point to create your Reviewer Index. The higher the Index, the more important is your activity as a reviewer. This Index can be used to demonstrate your involvement as a reviewer in the research community. You can also add into your resume the details of all the reviews you performed by retrieving the full file from your profile.
After completing the review of a paper, you can log onto our website and claim credits. Please be assured that no scientific information concerning the paper will be disclosed on the website and remains completely private. After receiving a claim, we validate with the journal’s editor that the review actually took place. Upon confirmation, you will receive a number of credits in your profile. The verification process is key to create a Reviewer Index that is certified and reliable and credits are earned and merited.
In your profile, you can get a certificate with all the reviews you performed. You can use this certificate to demonstrate your activity as reviewer in your resume. The “Review points” are earned exclusively to increase your Reviewer Index. For each review performed, you earn a point. The Reviewer Index is an indicator of your activity as a reviewer. A higher Reviewer Index reflects a higher involvement in the review activity. It has a lot of value academically and for your resume. On the hand, “Review credits” can be earned in several ways and can be redeemed: 1) Every time you perform a review, you can earn credits. 2) You can earn additional credits by inviting colleagues to subscribe through our portal. 3) If a journal is subscribed on our website, you earn double the credits for any review performed for that journal.
A review claim is simply the form you have to fill every time you perform a review to increase your Reviewer Index and get your credits. A quick verification is performed with the journal’s editor in the form of an email to verify that the review was actually performed. This step is essential to have a certified and reliable Reviewer Index.
To verify that the peer review was effectively performed, according to the claim, you will be asked to provide the name of the journal, the date in which the review was performed and one “manuscript ID”. The journal editorial office will be contacted to verify that this information is correct.

The emails are generated from our website once one of our reviewers fills a claim to declare he/she completed a peer review for your journal. The purpose of the email is to verify that the peer review was actually performed.
